By popular demand, LEARN TO SEW IN A DAY is back!

This is the perfect workshop for all you super busy people who've always wanted to learn to sew, but just can't find the time for a long class.

​For those who just need a confidence-building, hand-holding refresher, this is also a great stepping-stone to one of our intermediate-to-advanced class offerings.

This project-based, one-time three-hour beginner sewing class teaches you sewing basics and will have you threading a machine, loading a bobbin and sewing straight or curved seams in no time.

You'll receive careful explanations and step-by-step instructions to assemble your project. Three short hours later...you’ll walk out the door with a bag or a skirt made by you, in no longer than a day (1/2 a day, really!) Classes are small, so it's bes​t to register as soon as possible, 'cause once it's full, it's full!



PROJECTS​​

Elastic Waist Skirt or Reusable Tote (projects alternate each session, depending on date chosen)

Threading the machine
Filling and inserting a bobbin
Tools and terminology
Stitches: Regular stitch, Zig Zag stitch, Back stitch, Topstitch
Creating a tunnel
Inserting an elastic  or attaching a shoulder strap
Machine hemming techniques




FABRIC & SUPPLIES
For SKIRT Class (depending on date chosen), students should​ bring 2yds of medium weight cotton and matching thread

For TOTE BAG Class (depending on date chosen), students should bring 1 yard of heavy weight cotton or denim fabric for a customized bag, and matching thread.

All other sewing machine equipment and sewing supplies are available for use.

Note: You may bring your own sewing machine as long as it is in goodworking order. Otherwise, or studio sewing machines are available for use
