The apparel industry relies heavily on international production. There is a real need for designers to not only understand the fundamentals of how an original design is created, but also how it is communicated, as it relates to manufacturing processes, principles and practices. We teach every step of the way to get our students into the industry fast, and start earning a wage! Starting salaries can range between $40k to $85k and higher, with experience.

This six-month course is devoted to preparing students with real work-world knowledge and training needed to meet that demand, enabling them to land jobs as Spec Technicians, Assistant Technical Designers,Technical Designers and Fashion Design Assistants within the Fashion Industry growing into positions as Sr. Designers, Managers or Directors. Qualified students upon completing this course will receive placement assistance with leading agencies for help with landing internships, temp, freelance, or permanent job positions. We are dedicated to teaching our students the things they'll need to know to be successful in the fashion industry.

Sandra Tahar, a designer with many years experience working in both New York City and Paris, France (from which she hails) Sandra studied fashion in Paris at the famous ESMOD International Fashion University. There, after holding many Design Director positions with reputable Parisian fashion companies, she launched her own fashion line. She is currently the Design Director at a major fashion company here in NYC, as well as our dedicated instructor.
